Wendy Bostwick, Associate Professor of Nursing and Health Studies at Northern Illinois University, was awarded a grant from the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities, part of the National Institutes of Health, to research the relationship between microaggressions and mental health on bisexual women.

Three out bi women were recognized with 2015 Excellence in Journalism awards from the National Lesbian & Gay Journalist Association. Sunnivie Brydum was given an award for “40 Under 40: Emerging Voices,” in The Advocate (with Diane Anderson-Minshall and others); and Faith Cheltenham, president of BiNet USA received second place for “Bisexuals at the Gates” on
